Featuring extensive automatic functions, logical control panels and user-friendly design, the new range of Migatronic TIG welding machines clearly illustrates that even advanced functions can be readily accessible. The Pi TIG range consists of two mono-phase and three three-phase, portable, high-performance inverters for precision welding in stainless steels, aluminium and other high-alloy metals. The welding machines range from TIG HP (high frequency with pulse) and TIG AC/DC to MMA welding operations and, for the first time, also the mono-phase machines are fitted with the patented Migatronic D.O.C(r) system (Dynamic Oxide Control) ensuring a controlled, narrow cleaning zone along the weld in TIG welding of aluminium. As a result, the welding speed can be increased by up to 30% and at the same time consumption of both energy and tungsten electrodes is reduced.
The Pi 200 TIG HP is also applicable for MMA welding. 10 programme settings per welding process (TIG DC, TIG AC and MMA), allowing the welder to quickly find tailored settings for recurrent welding jobs or applications. Prepared for use with generators and available in watercooled version.
In the Pi 200, Migatronic has combined well-known inverter technology with new possibilities of control and communication which demonstrates to the individual welder that even the most advanced functions are easily operated.
Both mono-phase welding machines are supplied with the PFC (Power Factor Correction) function; an electronic circuit that allows welding with up to 200A by the use of only 16A mains fuses.
The Migatronic Pi holds three optional pulses in TIG: Traditional pulse, quick pulse and the newly-developed Synergy PLUS(tm) in which the machine automatically adjusts all superior pulse parameters in synergy mode. Migatronic has developed a quite new tack-welding function with quick response time on the torch - without time-consuming slopes from the tailored programme.
The Migatronic Pi is innovative thinking down to the smallest detail: the "TIG-Pulse-Sound", that may be a stress factor to the welder when the frequency changes, has been replaced by a welding sound with a pleasant tone owing to the Synergy PLUS(tm) function.
