Bosch has already sold six million of the Ixo cordless screwdriver. And the popularity of this innovative tool continues unabated all over the world. People who own one appreciate its many advantages: small, lightweight, handy, no self-discharge or memory effect due to the lithium-ion technology and, therefore, always ready for use. Now Bosch has upgraded this useful household tool to a screwdriving system. The new Ixo is available as a set with the option of either one or two screwdriving adapters: an angle screw adapter and a torque setting adapter. The battery capacity of the new model has also been increased by 30 percent to 1.3 Ah.

The angle screw adapter makes it possible to also conveniently drive screws with the Ixo in hard-to-reach areas, for example when fitting furniture. There are eight predefined angle settings to allow for the best handling in each application.

The torque setting adapter is designed for working with small, delicate screws, such as those often used in modelmaking or electronics work. It makes it possible to drive screws carefully into plastic parts without damaging the thread or the screw head.

Both adapters are quickly fitted to the Ixo. The new Ixo has an easy-to-remove rubber cap covering the coupling piece. The cap can be pulled off in one move and then the required adapter is attached.

The tried and tested features of the Ixo can also be found in the new models: a work light, forward/reverse indicator, charge level indicator, ergonomic handle with large softgrip coverings and integrated two-finger on/off switch.
